Midnight’s Children is a musical and artistic interpretation of Salman Rushdie’s highly acclaimed, award winning novel, bringing together Ittai Shapira, violinist; Alexander Klingspor, artist; and Salman Rushdie, the author of Midnight’s Children. The purpose of this project is to demonstrate how we as humans apply magical realism to resolve cultural conflict and genocide. This collaboration of leading artists … aims to educate and explore the healing properties of three methods of expression: word, visual art, and sound. There are plans to use this joint creation to help military personnel suffering from PTSD.
